Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our Planning team in Wimborne, Dorset as an Inventory planner. We are offering this position on a full time basis for a fixed term of 6 months. The ideal candidate should be able to work on site 5 days a week to connect with our manufacturing teams (some flexibility may be available),

  • Planning and scheduling workflow for Paint and/or Wallpaper, and Samples according to agreed procedures.
  • Analysing production specifications to maximise efficiency and customer service.
  • Preparing reports to provide information on performance of area, along with any ad hoc reporting requirements to support business.
  • Proactive management of wallpaper and paint production process to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining a focused, pro-active approach to minimise out of stocks and production issues.
  • Maintain relationships with all store key stakeholders, working to achieve continuous improvements in service, stock holding and cost.
  • Project usage of materials and provide forward forecasts to suppliers on regular basis.
  • Ensure continuous supply of all products to meet demand and avoid out of stock.
  • Formalise stock holding on site based on forward forecast.
  • Ensure close communications with other stakeholders to ensure plans are shared.
  • Set up, maintain, amend and control minimum/maximum stock (triggers) for all showrooms & Hubs in order to initiate optimisation.
  • Review, optimise, and control frequency of deliveries in line with sales performances and size of replenishment orders.
  • Generate, maintain and review essential KPIs related to size (volume and values), age and health of individual showrooms stock pack and global retail inventory.
  • Review current processes, practices, and operational plans (local and global), in order to initiate continuous improvements and, where possible, identify ownership.

    As the inventory planner you will be responsible for planning and scheduling workflow across our manufacturing department. The ideal candidate should have previous planning experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment with excellent Excel skills., Proven experience working with Global Supply Chains and MRP Systems
  • Demonstrated ability in data analysis, forecasting, and planning.
  • Ability and experience to build professional relationships internally and externally with good communication skills.
  • Strong analytic and advanced excel skills.
  • Experience and understanding of a manufacturing Environment.
