Inventory Counter - Afternoons - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

An Inventory Counter keeps track of materials used in production across all product lines. This includes helping with regular stock checks, counting items coming in and going out, and checking any differences in inventory.
What You Will Do:
As Inventory Counter, your accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:
Perform physical inventory counts across the site and adjust stock levels by location as needed.
Investigate inventory discrepancies through reconciliation and root cause analysis.
Document and correct inventory records in the system, ensuring compliance with corporate and audit requirements.
Conduct location audits, receipt counts, and support the department in meeting year-end inventory goals.
Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to ensure accurate material usage and flow.
Follow all health and safety policies and uphold Caterpillar's core values: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork, and Sustainability.

Strong literacy, numeracy, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
High attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and within a team.
Solid understanding of logistics, operations, and material control processes and systems.
Effective communication skills and experience using enterprise systems such as Glovia.
