Interventional Radiology Medical Secretary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Medical Secretary to join the Department of Interventional Radiology at the University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will provide a specialised, comprehensive, and confidential patient centred clinical administration and secretarial service to the Interventional Radiology Consultants and their teams in accordance with Departmental, Trust policies and procedures and National standards. To act as a source of advice and guidance regarding the specialism and act in a coordination role to facilitate complex procedures.

To work closely with the Interventional Radiology Consultants and clinical teams to provide a safe and effective management of referrals, clinical correspondence, outpatient clinics and all associated medical secretarial duties and acting as a first point of contact for consultants, colleagues and patients., To ensure provision of a comprehensive, high quality and efficient administrative and secretarial service to the Interventional Radiology Consultants and their team.

To manage own day-to-day workload, ensuring that priorities including the 18 week pathway are identified and dealt with and that problems are resolved as quickly as possible.

Ideally the candidate should have strong secretarial skills, be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Diary Management and have excellent organisational, communication and typing skills.
