Intervention Teacher MPS/UPS Pay Scale - £32,916 -£51,048 per annum Full-time, permanent Required from September 2026 St Mark's Church of England School are seeking an exceptional Teacher to join our team and be part of our growing Secondary Phase and help support the engagement of our most vulnerable and academically weak students. You should be able to inspire our students in line with our whole school Christian distinctiveness and ethos, helping them achieve excellence. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious teacher to develop their practice and actively contribute to our evolving area of the school. The role is suited to applicants with either KS2 experience or an ability to teach both Maths and English at KS3 and entry level. About the Role The successful candidate will:
- Be expected to plan and deliver lessons to target groups
- Make a contribution to the school's alternative curriculum provision and broader development
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support assistants ensuring they are fully briefed on lesson plans and expectations to enable them to fully contribute to improving pupil outcomes

- Has Qualified Teacher Status
- Has expert knowledge of legislation and guidance on curriculum requirements
- Understands high-quality teaching and learning strategies in the subject, and the ability to model this for others and support others to improve
- Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills
- Has knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies
