Full Job Description
Successful applicants will be passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of individuals as well as the wider community. Interns will work with Wellbeing Practitioners to support individuals and communities to improve access to psychological therapies through the delivery of group work, collaborative community development and signposting in community and primary care settings. You will have the opportunity to work with our clinical teams if you are considering a career in psychology or other health professions.
Through the internship programme the Trust aims to offer an opportunity for people to volunteer in real work settings to gain valuable experience that can support the pursuit of further training and/or employment. Opportunities for personal and professional development through Trust courses and local organisations are also offered.

As a consequence you are urged to submit your application as soon as possible., + Supporting the work of the Wellbeing Team to improve access to psychological therapies through the development and delivery of wellbeing workshops
+ Promoting the wide range of activities that the Wellbeing Team (and the wider Merton Uplift service) offers via Social Media and developing positive connections with Community Groups
+ Identifying groups of individuals who may benefit from our Services, but who are currently not accessing help, and working collaboratively to create solutions to any barriers.
+ Working with the Recovery College as well as contributing to our partnership work with our Wellbeing Partners: Carers Support Merton, Wimbledon Guild, Focus41 and Polish Family Association
+ To contribute to evaluation, research and education as appropriate (e.g. literature searches, preparing group materials, posters and other presentations)
+ To shadow protocol-based psychological assessments of clients, including self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients and others involved in the client's care, with opportunities to conduct these.

The Trust is offering an opportunity to join the Internship Programme with the Wellbeing service at Merton Uplift, a Primary Care Mental Health service.
