International Tax Manager

In short, We Enable Possibility.The primary purpose of this newly created position is to support the International Tax team on a broad range of tax matters across EMEA including, M&A, special projects, transfer pricing, tax controversy and, to a lesser extent, direct tax compliance and US GAAP tax reporting.This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a wide variety of international tax issues. The ideal candidate is a natural problem-solver, resourceful and proactive but able to recognise when to escalate issues or seek guidance. The role requires someone who is comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and who thrives when collaborating with teams across
multiple jurisdictions.Key Tasks & ResponsibilitiesSupport the International Tax team on special projects including international business expansion, restructurings, mergers and acquisitionsProvide tax guidance for international contracts, transactions, and strategic initiativesAssess impact of emerging jurisdictional, regional and global tax rulesManage and respond to tax authority interventions across various jurisdictionsAssist with the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and related mattersPartner with Finance, Legal, HR, Treasury, and business units on tax mattersDevelop successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders (incl. tax authorities)Provide tax advice to senior stakeholders across the business on a range of tax mattersAssist in the preparation and analysis of the Company's income tax provision across certain jurisdictions for US GAAP and local GAAP financial reportingOversight and management of direct tax filings and payment obligations in certain

jurisdictions Qualifications/EducationBachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance or law from an accredited college/universityLicensed CPA/CA/CTA or similarExperienceMinimum three years tax experience in industry and/or in a public accounting firm;Insurance industry experience is an advantage but not essentialExperience and knowledge of tax reporting within the framework of U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS financial reporting is desired but not essentialWhile primarily a direct tax role, the ability to identify indirect tax and employee tax issues is important given the coverage of this roleAbility to research and apply tax law to business transactions and strong project management skillsStrong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a teamPossess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesDo you like solving complex business problems, working with talented colleagues and have an innovative
