Full Job Description

A position has become available for a Resources Assistant within the Administration Team for the Children's Speech and Language Therapy Team.

The post holder will work at the Children's Speech & Language Therapy base as part of clinical and administration teams. There is a requirement to work independently to produce high quality, bespoke resources and programmes to support therapy plans devised by Speech & Language Therapists and to prioritise work requests.

The post holder will also be required to support the administration team as appropriate., Preparation of specific materials. This will include designing games, resources and activities to support Speech & Language Therapy programmes.

Producing communication resources from information provided by Speech & Language Therapists which will involve using several different clinical software programmes, e.g. Boardmaker, Photo Symbols, Makaton etc.

Liaising with Speech & Language Therapists to produce workbooks and advice sheets which will require accessing websites at own discretion. There will be a requirement to reference and understand information on specific conditions in order that symptoms are taken into consideration regarding the condition, e.g. visual problems, dexterity issues etc.

Laminating programmes and activities.

Independently prioritising work request from Speech & Language Therapists in order to meet deadlines.

Ordering new materials for the art/craft materials store at base and other clinical areas.

Filing case notes according to the current archiving system used with the Speech & Language Therapy base.

Scanning and uploading of case notes and any clinical information require to be uploaded.
