Full Job Description
The post holder will work closely with The Head of Safeguarding to ensure that all MPFT Care Groups are compliant with their statutory and regulatory safeguarding requirements and will promote multi-agency and multiprofessional working to ensure safeguarding arrangements are in place in line with national best practice., The Post holder will co-ordinate the Trust response to Safeguarding cases working closely with other agencies and providing direct support and supervision to multiprofessional colleagues.
Ensure that training and supervision is available to frontline practice within the Trust
Escalating concerns in accordance with escalating concerns protocol
Contribute to child protection and adult safeguarding enquiry processes in accordance with multi agency policies
The post holder will work closely with colleagues from other disciplines such as the Police; Probation; the Local Authority; private and voluntary sector and a variety of partner organisations.
The post holder will be responsible for information sharing and exchange for the purposes of Adult and Child Safeguarding and Domestic abuse. The post holder will access current systems and share this information in accordance with the Multi-Agency information sharing protocols.
The post holder will take a lead role for Safeguarding across the Care Groups; providing safeguarding support to frontline staff and making sure that staff are clear about the safeguarding procedures
The post holder will represent The Trust at key meetings as indicated in the key roles and responsibilities
The post holder will act as an autonomous practitioner in aspects of their role, agreeing protection plans with professionals, service users, carers and Trust staff all in line with multi agency policies and procedures.
