Full Job Description

We're looking for an Internal Communications Manager to bring clarity, energy and connection to our teams who make hospitality happen. Imperial London Hotels is a family-owned group with nearly 190 years of heritage, and we're in a big moment of change. A new flagship hotel. A rooftop destination (Arcus). A sharper focus on family brand and storytelling. We're looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to join our Internal Comms team at our head office in Russell Square, central London. This is a role for someone who can turn messages into momentum: translating strategy into clear storytelling, building channels that people use, and strengthening the everyday "line of sight" between leadership and the teams on the ground. What you'll be doing You'll take ownership of internal communications, working to create a consistent, engaging voice that supports managers and empowers colleagues. Your work will be visible, meaningful and measurable, whether you're coordinating company updates, launching initiatives, or improving how information flows day-to-day.

  • Develop and deliver internal communication plans aligned to business priorities, seasonal peaks and key people moments.
  • Create compelling content for a variety of audiences, front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and leadership teams.
  • Manage internal channels such as newsletters, intranet/employee pages, digital screens, team briefings and email communications.
  • Write, edit and quality check communications to ensure clarity, tone and accuracy are always written for real working environments.
  • Partner with HR, Operations and leadership to ensure messages land properly, on time, and with the right level of detail.
  • Support change and engagement, helping teams understand "why", "what's changing" and "what it means for them".
  • Track engagement and effectiveness through feedback, analytics and pulse-checks, then refine what you do.
  • Oversee internal campaigns such as recognition, colleague updates, onboarding communications and cultural initiatives.

We're keen to hear from candidates who are confident communicators, comfortable working at pace, and passionate about helping people feel connected. You'll have the ability to balance professionalism with approachability, bringing structure without losing warmth.
  • Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, HR communications or a similar role.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, able to craft messages that are engaging, accessible and action-oriented.
  • A strong understanding of how to communicate effectively across different audiences and seniority levels.
  • Comfort working with multiple stakeholders and delivering to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Practical knowledge of communications channels and campaign planning (digital and face-to-face).
  • Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trust with operational teams.

What you will get in return
  • 28 days holiday, rising to 33 with length of service
  • Access to ILH Training Academy programmes, apprenticeships and supported study
  • Holiday Purchase Scheme
  • Complimentary uniform dry-cleaning, plus discounted personal dry-cleaning
  • Interest-free Season Ticket Loan
  • Workplace Pension
  • Team member flat rate and 50% friends and family hotel discount
  • 50% discount across ILH F&B outlets
  • Discounted drinks at Blooms Café
  • Employee-funded Health Cash Plan
  • Local Bloomsbury discounts
  • Early Pay access
  • Shopping discounts with selected retailers
  • Salary sacrifice schemes including nursery care, cycle to work, and technology
  • Access to mental health first-aiders, wellbeing support and the Employee Assistance Programme
