{"description": " Job Description Purpose of the role To support the development of audits aligned to the bank's standards and objectives by working collaboratively with colleagues, providing accurate information and recommendations, and complying with policies and procedures. Accountabilities Audit development and delivery support, including financial statements, accounting practices, operational processes, IT systems and risk management. Identification of operational risks to support the delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan through risk assessments. Assessment of internal control effectiveness and their capability to identify and mitigate risk aligned to regulatory requirements. Communication of key findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including the Audit Owner, senior managers and directors. Identification of regulatory news and industry trends/developments to provide timely insight and recommendations for best practice. Assistant Vice President Expectations
To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions. Lead a team performing complex tasks, using well developed professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the whole business function. You will also ensure that audits/assignments on a day-to-day basis are completed to a high standard in line with audit methodology and you will support delivery of the UKCB Audit Plan. Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications: Experience in risk-based internal auditing or risk/control in financial services, preferably in Corporate Banking. Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. ACA, CIA, MIIA, ACCA, CISA). Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment. Experience of internal audit testing in a relevant field such as risk and controls as well as test strategies. You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills. This role will be based in London.",
