What does the average day look like?
Each day brings something new and exciting in this role. You might start by planning and managing audit assignments, ensuring they meet our high standards and deliver valuable insights. As the day unfolds, you'll lead and mentor your team, collaborate with key stakeholders, and contribute to governance meetings, offering real-time recommendations to strengthen our processes. Whether you're drafting audit reports, reviewing quality assurance, or tackling ad hoc projects, every moment is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact and drive positive change.
We're seeking an experienced IT auditor who has a proven track record in conducting comprehensive audits across the IT landscape. You'll have hands-on experience with areas such as cyber security, physical security, IT project implementation, and operational processes. Your expertise ensures you're ready to hit the ground running and deliver high-quality audits independently or as part of a collaborative team., · Qualified Professional: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Chartered Certified Accountant, or equivalent qualification with a strong interest in internal controls.
· Audit Expertise: Comprehensive experience across the audit lifecycle, from planning to reporting.
· Effective Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling reports.
· Leadership and Teamwork: Skilled at leading initiatives and collaborating effectively within a team.
· Calm Under Pressure: Thrives in high-pressure environments, managing multiple priorities seamlessly.
· Analytical Thinker: Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide effective challenges.
· Mentor and Coach: Experienced in developing and supporting internal auditors and staff.
· Data Insights: Strong data analytics skills, with a track record of adding value through data-driven audits.
· IT Audit Specialist: Knowledge of IT audits, including cyber security, physical security, and project implementation. Relevant certifications like CISA or CISSP are a plus.
Desirable Experience
· Rail Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the railway sector is an advantage.
· Project Management: Experience in managing and delivering large-scale projects, particularly in program assurance.

Vacancy Details
Duration: Permanent Role.
Location: This role is based in London Waterloo. This role is a full-time opportunity, flexible working patterns will be considered. For Quadrant: MK, you must live within 90 minutes.
Band & Salary: (Band 2B) £71,163 - £81,661., Closing date: Friday 27th June. However, early application is advised as we reserve the right to close the advert early based on application volumes.
