Full Job Description
To provide specialist nursing care, intervention and education though a variety of different approaches, to staff and patients with tissue viability needs within Staffordshire, across any care setting. The role will support tissue viability strategic developments as identified by the Tissue Viability Team and the Clinical & Operational Lead; providing local specialist wound management and advice, education and training for staff across Staffordshire; ensuring an equitable and continuous service between the primary and secondary care settings.
This would be an ideal opportunity for the successful candidate to extend on existing skills and develop further skills and knowledge within the tissue viability discipline. The role entails dealing with patients who have pressure ulcers, leg ulcers and other complex wound care needs. The post holder would also be expected to undertake triage duties and wound care projects as part of the role. Potential post holder needs to have experience in leg ulcer management and existing wound care skills as well as being able to undertake educational programmes to patients and clinicians. The potential post holder needs to be a committed and confident individual who is conscientious, dynamic and pro-active and has excellent communication and organisational skills.
