Interim Head of Catering (Minimum 6-Month Appointment)

Salary: £56,370 - £63,629 per annum(Appointments made within this range based on relevant experience and internal salary alignment) Location: Cheltenham & Gloucester Hospitals (Cross-site) Interim appointment for a minimum of 6 months Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Interim Head of Catering to lead Catering and Retail Services across our hospital sites. This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality and customer-focused catering services for patients, staff and visitors, while driving service improvement, workforce development, financial performance and regulatory compliance. We're looking for someone with: Significant experience leading catering, hospitality or food service operations within a large, complex organisation Strong leadership, people management and change management experience Advanced Food Hygiene (Level 4 Food Safety) and HACCP Level 3 qualifications, Experience operating within a

regulated, budget-controlled environment with responsibility for financial performance, and resource management Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills What you'll do:Lead Catering and Retail Services across GMSDrive service improvement and transformationEnsure compliance with food safety, nutritional and quality standardsDevelop and support motivated and engaged teamsManage budgets, resources and supplier relationships to deliver sustainable value-for-money services within a publicly funded healthcare environmentWork collaboratively with clinical and operational colleaguesContribute as a member of the GMS Senior Management Team Why GMS?
