Full Job Description

If you're driven by making care safer, kinder and more responsive for people at their most vulnerable, this could be your next step.

This is a 6-month interim opportunity (with potential to extend), open to internal candidates and HIOWH-approved SARC workers only at SAS equivalent Level.

At Treetops SARC, you'll lead a service supporting people of all ages following sexual assault--providing compassionate care, expert forensic examination and ongoing support. You'll have real influence over how care is delivered across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

You'll provide clinical leadership, ensuring practice meets national standards. From governance and audit to peer review and risk management, your work will directly improve outcomes. You'll also help shape the service alongside partners across health, policing and commissioning.

You'll join a multidisciplinary Sexual Health and HIV Service that values reflection, curiosity and systems thinking, working collaboratively to improve how services feel for those who use them.

We're looking for an experienced clinician with strong leadership, forensic expertise and a commitment to trauma-informed care. You'll be confident leading governance and supporting teams to deliver safe, compassionate care., You'll lead the clinical direction of Treetops SARC, ensuring safe, high-quality, trauma-informed care for adults and children. This includes oversight of governance, audit, risk management and continuous improvement--working closely with the Quality & Safeguarding Manager and Operational Manager to deliver clear quality reports and service plans.

You'll set standards for best practice in forensic examination, medicines management, safeguarding and incident response. You'll work in partnership with paediatricians to shape services for children and young people, and collaborate with police, commissioners and partner agencies to develop consistent, joined-up care.

A key part of the role is developing people. You'll train and mentor Sexual Offence Examiners and crisis staff, lead peer review, and support colleagues giving evidence in court. You'll ensure strong clinical supervision, maintain compliance with national guidance and contribute to achieving and sustaining UKAS accreditation.

You'll provide visible, compassionate leadership--supporting day-to-day operational delivery while embedding a culture of learning, reflection and accountability. You'll also contribute to the strategic development of the SARC within the Trust and across the wider system.
