Integration Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Integration Engineer to join the Systems and Integration team within Health Informatics at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. This Band 6 role will focus on developing robust integration solutions, improving digital workflows and supporting safe, efficient information flow between clinical and corporate systems. The post holder will work closely with existing operational support colleagues to ensure effective handover, documentation and knowledge transfer, so that new developments are sustainable and supportable. We are looking for a methodical and technically capable individual who can identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve how systems and processes work for the benefit of patients and staff., The post holder will provide specialist technical input into the design, development, testing and implementation of integration solutions and related digital workflows across Trust systems. They will work with colleagues, suppliers, system users and service support teams to understand requirements, deliver robust solutions, document processes and enable effective knowledge transfer into operational arrangements. The role will involve analysing requirements, producing technical and non-technical specifications, supporting testing and implementation, and identifying opportunities to improve data flow, reduce manual work, automate where appropriate and make processes more efficient and sustainable.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
