This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking institution supporting the delivery of high-quality practical learning within a modern, industry-standard workshop environment.About the RoleThe Institute of Technology department at Bersham Road is seeking a skilled and motivated Instructor Demonstrator to support learners in developing essential practical electrical installation skills. Working closely with the course team, you will deliver and demonstrate safe working methods, prepare tools and materials,
and help learners build confidence and competence across a range of electrical installation techniques.You will play a key role in supporting learners' progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study by helping them develop strong technical abilities, professional behaviours, and safe working practices.Key Responsibilities
Support and deliver practical electrical workshop sessionsDemonstrate safe and effective electrical installation methodsPrepare tools, equipment, and materials for practical learningSupport learners in developing skills in containment systems, wiring techniques, safe isolation awareness, inspection preparation, and general workshop proceduresMaintain a safe, clean, and well-organised workshop environmentAssist with learner supervision and contribute to record keeping where requiredWork collaboratively with the course team to support learner progressUphold Coleg Cambria's standards for Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Equality and Quality
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a relevant subjectRelevant commercial or domestic electrical installation experienceAbility to confidently demonstrate practical electrical installation skillsUnderstanding of current developments within electrical installation and building servicesAbility to support the planning and delivery of effective practical sessions
Desirable Requirements
Experience supporting learners in an FE or training environmentExperience managing challenging behavioursStrong organisational and administrative skills
