About the Role: We are looking for a hands-on Installation Engineer to join our growing team in our Nottingham office (2bm), working across a range of client data centre projects. This is a varied role where no two projects are the same - you'll be part of a team delivering high-quality installations, upgrades, and modifications across mission-critical environments. If you enjoy practical work, problem-solving, and working closely with others in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Key Responsibilities:
- Measuring, planning, and delivering full installs of aisle containment systems Installing a variety of cold and hot aisle containment solutions from different manufacturers Installing and remediating IT cabinets and associated components (including power supplies, sensors, cyber locks, rack-mounted UPS systems, switches, and underfloor water detection systems) Carrying out full data hall strip-outs Installing cable trays and trunking Acting as the main on-site fabricator, including bespoke alterations and modifications
- Installing condensers Installing rear door heat exchangers and associated frameworks
A practical, hands-on individual with a strong work ethic Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong communication skills and a professional approach with clients Previous installation or mechanical/electrical experience is desirable but not essential - No formal qualifications required A CSCS card is advantageous, but we can support you in obtaining one Full on-the-job training will be provided
