Inpatient Occupational Therapist | East London NHS Foundation Trust

In this position, you will play a key role in the Occupational Therapy Pathway-carrying out assessments on admission and delivering thoughtful, person-centred interventions. You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and the wider Occupational Therapy service to maintain high standards of clinical care. Your work will include a balance of 1:1 interventions and group-based activities, ensuring a holistic and responsive OT presence on the ward. The successful candidate will be based within the Occupational Therapy department and hold responsibility for one ward. You will also take part in the Band 5 preceptorship programme, supporting your ongoing development, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and engaging in in-service training. As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will work as an autonomous clinician under weekly supervision and as a vital member of the Multidisciplinary Team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering skilled interventions and treatments.
• Facilitating safe and timely patient discharges across clinical areas.
