Full Job Description
Following a successful business case for additional funding the podiatry service can offer an exciting opportunity for a fixed term 2 year Band 7 position. The role will be providing foot health assessment & treatment for inpatients at East Surrey Hospital and supporting the diabetic foot strategy with early intervention to prevent foot complications for patients with diabetes during admission.
The role will include supporting the Lead for High-Risk podiatry care and being an active member of the Surrey and Sussex Multidisciplinary Footcare Team (MDFT).

You will need to be an enthusiastic, flexible and an adaptive team player. You will communicate well with other team members and patients whilst being punctual, reliable and committed to providing a high-level of patient care.
First Community Health and Care offers you an opportunity to develop your clinical skills to promote patient-centered care., To provide specialist footcare and wound care interventions for patients with complex foot and nail problems. The post holder will be clinically responsible for the delivery of the inpatient podiatry service. The successful candidate will work autonomously as well as work as part of the multidisciplinary team. The post requires accepting urgent referrals from Hospital consultants, community podiatrists, and other health professionals and will provide responsive specialist care.
The role will support the education and up-skilling of clinical and care staff managing patients hospital admissions.
