Starting in August 2026, University Centre Farnborough is seeking lecturers to support post-graduate trainee teachers and their school-based mentors as they progress through their Initial Teacher Training year, leading to Qualified Teacher Status.

Ideally, candidates will be experienced and knowledgeable Secondary school teachers (11-16). We seek those who have had previous experience of mentoring trainee teachers, and who might have run Initial Teacher Training programmes in their own schools. We currently offer the following subjects: Biology, English, Physics, Mathematics and Geography so experience of delivering these subject areas would be beneficial but not compulsory.

These exciting roles would suit dynamic, experienced and innovative Secondary School subject specialists and/or subject leaders in English or Science who want to be at the forefront of growing the next generation of teachers. Ideally, potential candidates will be seeking either a part-time role possibly downsizing their existing teaching role with flexible working hours across the academic year. Alternatively, a secondment from their current place of work would be considered.
