Infrastructure Engineer - Storage, Backup and Cyber Recovery

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will help support and maintain the DVLA's enterprise storage, backup, and cyber recovery platforms. The role is important in helping to ensure the availability, resilience, and recoverability of critical services, supporting business continuity and data protection requirements. Working as part of the Storage, Backup & Cyber Recovery team, you will provide technical support across a range of storage, backup, and cyber recovery technologies. You will contribute to the delivery, support, and ongoing improvement of the DVLA's data protection and recovery capabilities, helping to maintain reliable and secure infrastructure services. You will play an active role in resolving technical issues and identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will help deliver effective operational support and contribute to the continued development of the service. Your responsibilities will include, but aren't limited to:

• Ensure services are delivered and used as required.
• Work with and support colleagues to provide infrastructure services.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, technical specialists, engineers and third-party suppliers to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Contribute to the support of the storge, backup and cyber recovery services.
