Full Job Description

A major UK central government department is going through a large digital transformation and needs an experienced Infrastructure Engineer (End User Compute). You'll own the macOS estate and support the laptops and devices that civil servants and ministerial teams use across the UK. What you'll do

  • Lead technical work on the macOS estate, designing and delivering solutions for Mac devices managed through JAMF Pro
  • Act as the escalation point for complex live service issues and lead root cause analysis through to a fix
  • Write design and build documentation for macOS end user devices
  • Support the Windows and mobile estates, helping first line teams where needed
  • Maintain and improve the device platform, and share your knowledge with the wider team
  • Make infrastructure changes through formal change control and keep the documentation up to date

    At least 3-4 years in a macOS engineering role
  • Strong hands-on experience with JAMF Pro
  • Experience managing a large estate of 1,000+ devices
  • 3rd line support experience, resolving complex issues and acting as an escalation point
  • Active SC clearance
