Information Security Officer

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to join our Technology Security team within the Group's Technology Department. The team consists of 4 people who are responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Group's data and technology. They do this by providing security expertise to staff to develop a culture of security, awareness, compliance, and inclusion throughout the Group. • Supporting the development and maintenance of information security policies and processes to ensure data, systems and applications are secure and robust
• Providing support and advice to staff and partners on governance and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures as needed
• Supporting the effective resolution of customers' security issues and queries
• Liaising with the Technology Service Desk to ensure a high-quality level of customer service is provided
• Carrying out appraisals of new and existing processes and their suitability to meet the future needs of the Group whilst meeting security requirements
• Identifying risks and vulnerabilities and raising awareness of these information security issues
• Promoting digital health and wellbeing
  
  Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
• Working knowledge of information security practices in a large and complex organisation
• Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• Experience of resolving technical security related issues
• Experience of information security tools
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001 and NIST
• Experience of data protection, UK legislation and GDPR
• Ability to extract and interpret computerised data
• Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and its application
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills

• Role salary is £33,397 with an additional policy allowance of £13,178 per annum (rising to £35,144 with an additional policy allowance of £13,867 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
