Full Job Description

The successful candidate will report directly to the Information Manager, forming part of an established Information Management team and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing information management services, processes, procedures and supporting systems, for the TRU Programme.
A typical day would include managing and configuring data systems, supporting internal and external team members with queries and troubleshooting, and engaging with discipline leads to drive improvements and share knowledge.

About the role (External)
Some of the key accountabilities of this role are:
1. Approve processes, procedures and systems to maintain effective information management and document control.
2. Monitor adoption of information management and document control processes within programme and project teams.
3. Monitor the Common Data Environment (CDE) so that it is available to the programme within agreed timescales, maintaining conformity of approach, consistent configuration of systems and standard accessibility of documentation.
4. Enhance & maintain good practises for CDE user management.
5. Support to Information Manager and the wider Information Management team.
6. Support programme controls reporting.
7. Manage for effective resourcing of document control activity.
We need you to have, Keeping people safe on the railway is at the heart of everything we do, safe behaviour is therefore a requirement of working for Network Rail. You should be able to demonstrate your to safety and awareness in your application.

· Relevant successful experience in the management of information and documentation in an engineering project environment.
· Knowledge of project management processes
It would be advantageous if you have:
· Knowledge of engineering data management systems such as Bentley ProjectWise, SharePoint and Microsoft Power products such as PowerBI, Power Automate, PowerApps etc.
· Knowledge of the Railway Industry.
· Knowledge of Network Rail's investment processes and procedures.
· Good time management and communication skills.
· Ability to work well within a team.

Office Requirement: Hybrid with an expectation of a minimum of 3 days per week working from the office
Interview date: Candidates who progress beyond the sifting stage will be invited to attend interviews during the week commencing 18 May, held in either Manchester or York.

Transpennine Route Upgrade
The Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU) is a £10.7 billion Programme of activities that is improving the railway between York and Manchester via Leeds and Huddersfield.
Stretching across the North of England, this key 76-mile Transpennine railway serves 23 stations, crosses over and dips under 285 bridges and viaducts, passes through six miles of tunnels, and crosses over 11 level crossings.
Proposed improvements as will deliver a hard-working, reliable railway for passengers, allowing for trains with more seats, more services and faster journey times.
