Information Compliance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Information Compliance Manager to join our Digital Services - Cyber and Information Security team. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the University meets its obligations under UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information legislation, and records management requirements.

You will lead the development and delivery of a robust information compliance framework, ensuring policies, procedures, and governance arrangements are effective and fully embedded across the institution. Acting as the University's subject matter expert, you will provide high-quality advice and guidance to colleagues on data protection, information governance, and compliance risks.

You will oversee the management of statutory requests, including Freedom of Information and subject access requests, and lead data protection audits, impact assessments, and breach management processes. The role also involves promoting a culture of "privacy by design" and ensuring compliance is integrated into systems, projects, and ways of working.

In addition, you will develop and deliver training and awareness programmes, and monitor emerging legislation to ensure the University remains compliant and well-prepared for future change.
