Join us in making a difference in patient care and safety, · Assist in the induction and orientation of new colleagues.
· Facilitate the development and assessment of healthcare staff.
· Act as a role model, promoting best practices in infection prevention.
· Collaborate with Registered IPC Nurses on delegated tasks.
· Communicate essential information to the IPC Team and other staff.
· Support the IPC Audit & Surveillance activities.
· Collect and manage relevant clinical data.
· Participate in infection prevention campaigns and maintain up-to-date information resources.
· Undertake clerical duties, including data entry and creating teaching materials.
· Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Infection Prevention policies., To support the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Team in enhancing infection prevention practices through education, training, and audits. The role focuses on delivering ward-based training for Health Care Assistants and Nursing Associates, assisting in the induction and development of new staff, and serving as a role model for best practices in infection prevention. Key responsibilities include supporting IPC audits, collecting clinical data, maintaining professional relationships, and contributing to infection prevention campaigns. This dual-focused role combines practical mentoring and compliance monitoring to promote safety and professionalism in healthcare settings. A key part of the role involves supporting new HCAs as they work towards completing their fundamental of care. This includes practical, hands-on guidance on the wards, helping them apply IPC principles in an active ward setting. IPC Support Workers also assess and sign off competencies
