Industrial Placement Quantity Surveyor

As an Industrial Placement Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of infrastructure projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and develop a strong foundation in quantity surveying.

What will your day-to-day duties include?

-Manage commercial resources of the project

-Assisting in maximising gross profit for projects

-Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial/contractual risks as well as value work executed by sub-contractors

-Helping prepare and submit tenders and contract documents.

-Collaborating with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements

What are we looking for?

We're on the lookout for students undertaking a degree in Quantity Surveying, who have the option or requirement to complete a placement year from 2027 - 2028. After your placement, you'll be returning to university with a graduation year of 2029.

-Degree (or working towards a degree) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.

-Demonstrates a genuine interest in pursuing a career in quantity surveying and the construction industry, with clear motivation to learn and develop professionally.

-Demonstrates numerical confidence and the ability to use data to support decision-making (with support and development where required).

-Shows enthusiasm for learning new skills and knowledge, and the ability to adapt in response to feedback.

-Works effectively as part of a team, demonstrating collaboration, reliability, and respect for others.

-Hold a full UK driver license.
