Individual Giving Fundraiser

Join us. Tell stories that matter. Make every donation count. At Weston Hospicecare, every donation tells a story - of love, remembrance, gratitude, and community. As our Individual Giving Fundraiser, you'll be at the heart of those stories, helping people honour loved ones, support compassionate care, and make a lasting difference. We're looking for someone creative and organised, who's just as comfortable crafting a powerful appeal letter as they are processing donations and writing heartfelt thank-you messages. You'll play a key role in nurturing relationships with our supporters and bringing campaigns to life across multiple channels.

About the Role

You'll work alongside our Individual Giving Manager to develop and manage relationships with our supporters, from committed regular givers, to people giving a one-off donation and those giving in memory of a loved one. You'll play a key role in delivering engaging, meaningful fundraising campaigns and appeals and offering excellent stewardship to our supporters. You'll also create engaging and sensitive communications with our supporters, so they know the impact of their giving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, compassionate relationships with supporters across in-memory, regular giving, lottery, and appeals which encourage people to donate

  • Write engaging and sensitive content for letters, emails, social media, and newsletters

  • Support delivery of multi-channel fundraising campaigns

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and process donations and thank-yous

  • Track performance and help improve supporter journeys and income

  • Provide wider support to the Individual Giving Manager, including identifying opportunities to improve legacy and major donor fundraising

What We're Looking For

  • You're someone who: Has a talent for storytelling and strong writing skills

  • Has compassion and sensitivity when engaging with hospice supporters

  • Is confident communicating with a wide range of people

  • Is proactive and has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Has the ability to balance creative work with administrative tasks

  • Wants to use your skills to make a genuine difference

  • You don't need to come from a hospice or fundraising background - but you do need empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to our values.

  • Ability to travel across our catchment area is essential for this role.

Why Join Us?

  • Make a real impact by supporting a charity that helps local families.

  • Training and development opportunities to grow your skills.

  • A friendly, supportive team with a shared passion for fundraising.

  • Flexibility, including time off in lieu for evening and weekend work.

We warmly welcome applications from all sections of the community. Join us and help make a difference!
