Independent Reviewing Office / Child Protection Advisor

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, an opportunity has arisen for a Child Protection Advisor/Independent Reviewing Officer to join our supportive and dedicated team. We have a central base in County Hall, with some flexibility to work from home. We have access to hot desk facilities in other localities and work closely with other external agencies. We have high quality administrative support and are a supportive and friendly team! The role of the IRO/CP advisor makes an important contribution to outcomes for cared for children and those subject to Child Protection Plans. The role is primarily focused on quality assurance and the formulation of plans for each cared for child and for children deemed to be at risk of significant harm. The post has a countywide brief, so there will be a significant travelling requirement. Using the Signs of Safety model, Northumberland is a family and child focused Authority with strong effective management and leadership.
