Full Job Description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by domestic abuse? We are seeking an enthusiastic Independent Domestic Violence Adviser (IDVA) to join our vibrant team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This dynamic role will blend providing trauma-informed support to victims of domestic abuse and the delivery of high-quality training to local professionals across statutory and voluntary sectors. As an IDVA, you will be playing a key part in helping create safer communities through raising awareness, and equipping others with the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to domestic abuse. You will work collaboratively with clients, partners, and agencies to develop safety plans and empower individuals to regain control of their lives. • Offering guidance and best practise advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Representing the voice of victims at the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC)
  • Partnering with external agencies to deliver effective safety and support plans.
  • Maintaining accurate records and case management systems.
  • Advocating for clients and raising awareness of domestic abuse and its impact on families.

Experience of working with individuals and families affected by domestic abuse or complex needs

  • Commitment to empowering survivors and promoting safety and independence
  • Interview Process:
  • Interviews will take place week commencing 22nd June at our St Helens office and will involve a competency-based interview and
