Independent Chair - Childrens (G11)

For this position, you must have recent experience as a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO).

As a LADO, you will manage allegations against individuals working or volunteering with children, particularly those in authoritative roles with regular child contact. You'll collaborate with employers, police, children's social care, and regulatory bodies to ensure child safeguarding and accurate risk assessment. While not conducting investigations yourself, you will oversee, direct, and ensure investigations are thorough, timely, and fair, actively challenging delays as needed. Office presence is required once or twice a month to collaborate with colleagues.
