We currently have a vacancy for an Inclusive Economy Manager Healthy Working Life Delivery to join our Employment and Skills Team.

As employment support becomes increasingly devolved, West Yorkshire is taking a leading role in designing and delivering services that meet local needs. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of Connect to Work while helping to shape the future of devolved employment support across the region.

West Yorkshires £48.2 million Connect to Work programme supports people to enter, remain in, or return to employment. Working closely with delivery partners and key stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in creating a more integrated and responsive employment support system that enables more people to access, sustain and progress in good quality work.

Healthy Working Life is a joint programme of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board. The programme delivers the region's Work and Health Plan, developed in partnership with residents, employers and stakeholders. Its ambition is to grow the economy, reduce inequalities and improve quality of life by supporting more people to access, sustain and progress in employment., Reporting into the Policy and Partnerships Lead Healthy Working Life Delivery your key responsibilities will include:

Lead the strategic implementation, delivery and performance management of the Connect to Work programme through commissioned and grant funded delivery partners, ensuring high-quality delivery across West Yorkshire and achieving strong outcomes to support economic growth.

Support the development of future devolved employment support in West Yorkshire, contributing to programme development, partnership working and service design activity as the region's employment support responsibilities grow.

Provide leadership across a complex partnership landscape, overseeing programme performance, governance, risk and continuous improvement while influencing local, regional and national stakeholders to drive system change.

Membership of the Combined Authority is made up of the mayor and democratically elected councillors from our West Yorkshire partner councils of Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield, and a non-voting member representing the City of York Council.

Partnership is fundamental to everything we do. We work closely with councils and businesses across the region to ensure our policies, services and capital infrastructure projects meet the needs of communities and help deliver local priorities. We also operate the Metro network of bus stations, travel centres and public transport information working directly to deliver public services to the people of West Yorkshire.
