Inclusion and Wellbeing MentorSwallowdale Primary SchoolFixed Term until 22nd August 2027 32.5 hours per week; Term Time + Inset Days (39 weeks)Grade 8, Pts 15-18 (£21,504 to £23,326 per annum)Start Date: ASAPApplication Close Date: 9am Monday 14th September 2026Provisional Interview Date: Wk commencing 21st September 2026 Are you someone who champions inclusion?Are you experienced in supporting children with different needs?An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion and Wellbeing Mentor to join our dedicated team, working 32.5 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until August 2027.This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils across the school to overcome barriers to learning, improve their wellbeing, and achieve positive outcomes. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and inclusion for all children.As an Inclusion and Wellbeing Mentor, you will:

• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to plan and deliver
a range of interventions and group activities that support pupils' social, emotional and mental health needs, including children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
• Lead the school's lunchtime nurture provision for a small group of pupils with identified needs. Build positive relationships with families and liaise with external agencies where appropriate. Take a lead role in managing pupil behaviour and behaviour support plans, contributing to their development, implementation and review. Provide effective support and guidance to children who require assistance in regulating their emotions and behaviour. We are looking for someone who: Has experience of supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues. Is calm, patient and resilient when supporting children with challenging behaviours. Has experience of delivering interventions and supporting positive behaviour strategies. Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Has proven experience and a strong understanding of supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
