Full Job Description
Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour & Attitudes, you will assist our young people in overcoming barriers to learning using a range of techniques to focus on the academic, social and emotional wellbeing of pupils requiring additional support. We require a confident person who can maintain liaison between home and the Academy.
- A confident and effective communicator with an ability to persuade and negotiate.
- Able to have difficult conversations in a positive manner.
- Organised with a desire for continuous improvement.
- Able to motivate and encourage pupils to remain focused and reinforce self-esteem.
- Able to prioritise conflicting demands successfully and appropriately.
- Confident in acting as a coach/mentor, to develop pupil's confidence, organisation, and independent working skills.
- Passionate about the education of children and young adults.
- The ability to work on their own initiative, but also be able to work flexibly as part of a team. The post holder will be responsible to the Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour and Attitudes. The working hours for this post are 08:15 - 15:15. You will be/have:
- A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Able to work using a high level of accuracy.
- Flexible and hardworking with a desire to learn.
