Full Job Description
Alliance Learning are looking for an Inclusion Manager, to join on a temporary maternity cover contract. The contract will be for a fixed-term period until the 27 February 2027, or the return of the substantive role holder from maternity leave, whichever is the earlier date.
The role includes assessing, supporting and providing intervention for our vulnerable learners. This could include those learners with SEND, care leavers, ex offenders, and other categories as identified as vulnerable.
The role will also include managing a small team of Functional Skills tutors and coordinating the Functional Skills provision.
Relevant degree or equivalent experience in education, social work, psychology or a related field
- Proven experience of working with vulnerable individuals or groups (e.g. SEND, disadvantaged backgrounds, behavioural needs)
- Experience of developing and implementing inclusion strategies and support plans
- Experience of managing and supporting staff
- Knowledge of SEND practices, barriers to learning and intervention strategies
- Understanding of Safeguarding legislation and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and case management skills
Desirable Skills:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Experience of handling safeguarding and child protection concerns
- Experience in a leadership and management role
- Training delivery and coaching skills
