Full Job Description
Somerset Council is seeking two Inclusion Leads to support the Virtual School and Inclusion Team. You'll lead on individual learner cases, ensuring children and young people at risk of exclusion or disengagement receive timely, coordinated support. This role is fully remote and sits within the Children, Families & Education Service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead case management for learners at risk of exclusion or disengagement
Develop personalised education and progression plans
Coordinate high-quality alternative provision placements
Attend TAC meetings, PEP reviews and safeguarding discussions
Monitor attendance, engagement and wellbeing, intervening early where needed
Ensure young people are actively involved in decisions about their education
Strong understanding of Children Looked After and/or Early Years
Knowledge of SEND, safeguarding and statutory responsibilities
Excellent communication, coordination and case management skills
Commitment to inclusive education and lifelong learning
