Full Job Description
We are seeking a committed and compassionate Inclusion Assistant to join our pastoral and inclusion team. This is a highly rewarding role, working closely with the Inclusion Lead and SENCo to support teaching and learning, ensuring that all pupils, particularly those who are vulnerable or have additional needs, are able to thrive.,
- Work in partnership with the Inclusion Lead and SENCo to support pupils with SEN and additional needs
- Provide guidance and support for individuals and small groups under professional direction
- Adapt and differentiate learning programmes to meet the needs of allocated pupils
- Support the delivery of targeted interventions and inclusion-specific curriculum pathways
- Maintain and update accurate pupil records, including SEN, medical, and pastoral information
- Contribute to SEN intervention plans, provision maps, PSPs, behaviour plans, and risk assessments
- Prepare and collate evidence for assessments, care plans, and funding applications (including HNF and LIP)
- Liaise routinely with staff, parents, carers, and external agencies
- Support a holistic approach to student development, including wellbeing, aspirations, and social and emotional growth
A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable children and young people - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail in record keeping
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider pastoral team
- Resilience, adaptability, and a proactive approach
