Full Job Description

Experteer Overview As In-House Lawyer at Birmingham City FC, you will provide practical legal support across commercial, governance, risk and compliance matters in a fast-paced football environment. You will advise across departments, eraft and negotiate contracts, protect the Club's IP and data, and help manage risk and governance frameworks. You'll translate complex legal issues for non-legal stakeholders and contribute to the Club's strategic aims on and off the pitch. This role offers meaningful impact by supporting operations through robust legal partnerships. Pay / Benefits

  • Provide in-house legal advice across commercial contracts, employment law, IP, data protection, regulatory matters and litigation Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements including supplier and partner contracts Support football operations with legal aspects of player recruitment, loans, transfers and sales Maintain a centralised contract database and ensure contractual documentation is up to date Assist in delivering strong corporate governance and compliance with governance frameworks Support risk management by maintaining the Strategic Risk Register and aiding operational risk registers Assist with regulatory matters involving football authorities and governing bodies Support safeguarding-related legal matters in collaboration with the safeguarding team Contribute to risk/crisis planning around matchdays and general Club operations Provide guidance on IP strategy and protect Club assets Tasks Qualified lawyer with experience in contract negotiation, employment law and/or litigation Strong knowledge of commercial law and contract negotiation Understanding of corporate governance principles Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills Key requirements
