Immunisation School Administrator - Wigan, Greater Manchester

Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Fixed Term, 6 months maternity cover

We serve a range of patients across our three divisions of Primary Care (general practice), Pharmacy and Clinical Services which includes anticoagulation monitoring, patient medication reviews and childhood immunisation programmes.


We are a well-established organisation having provided NHS services since 1999. We operate NHS services across the North East, Yorkshire, the midlands and North West. Our team is made up of a wide range of healthcare professionals and administrative roles including GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs), Nurses, Pharmacists, Health Care Assistants (HCAs) and local administration teams. Our frontline teams are supported by a centralised back office function; providing executive, finance, HR, administration and data analysis support.


IntraHealth are recruiting a Immunisation School Administrator to join our Immunisation Team.


The successful candidate will work in schools and community settings assisting the nursing team with delivering vaccinations. There is an expectation that you will be organised, able to communicate with children and young people as well as school staff and be confident in the use of computer packages such as excel. The successful candidate must have a car with business insurance and be prepared to collect and return vaccines to the base and to drive to schools across the areas within the above location you are based within.


Start times are generally between 0800 hours and 0900 hours.

Job Description



  • Assist the nursing team in delivering vaccinations in schools and community settings.

  • Communicate with children, young people, and school staff effectively.

  • Operate computer packages such as Excel and maintain accurate records.

  • Hold a car with business insurance and be prepared to collect and return vaccines to the base and drive to various schools within the local area.

  • Adhere to start times generally between 0800 and 0900 hours.

  • Support the Immunisation Team as required within a busy healthcare environment.
