Full Job Description
Immunisation Programme Assistant (Chichester) - Part time ( Four days, minimum of two days) temporary contract for 4 months, September to December 2025.
An opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Immunisation Programme Assistant/s to join the SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service.
The role requires core working hours of 8am-4pm, with flexibility at either end of the day for packing of vaccines or clinic cover on a rota basis. You will also cover one Saturday clinic.
The SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service vaccinates children aged 0-19 years in schools and clinics across East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.
This post will be based in Chichester but all team members support the whole of the SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service, so you must be a car owner/driver and be willing to travel daily to clinics and schools within Sussex.
Please note: Due to recent changes in UK immigration and visa rules, this role is unlikely to be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship. Main duties of the job
The role will include providing clerical and clinical support in schools, bases, clinics and patients' homes. It is an exciting and varied role, working within a team of nurses, assistants and administrators to deliver vaccination programmes to school aged children and SCFT Staff.
The successful candidate will prepare the documentation and assist with the running of the vaccination sessions and clinics and be expected to accurately process the completed session paperwork.
During this busy flu vaccination period, they will also be involved with giving the flu nasal spray vaccine to School aged children under supervision of a trained health professional. Full training will be given.
