This is an exciting opportunity for an independent, organised and motivated administrator to come and work as part of our busy Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) team!
About the team/department
This is a busy role based with the ILD team. Our specialist clinicians support and treat patients with ILD. There is a positive and supportive culture within the department and the whole team works hard to ensure new members receive a warm welcome.

We believe that our strength as an organisation relies on our ability to foster an environment which encourages using our differences as a strength., This role involves providing a high quality, patient focused, efficient and complete administrative to the Multidisciplinary team within the Thoracic and Ambulatory Directorate. There will be particular responsibility to proactively monitor and track patient pathways in order to ensure that patient journeys are processed in a timely and efficient manner in line with nationally and locally defined targets. The post holder will liaise with senior clinical and non-clinical staff both internally and externally.
The post holder will need to prioritise tasks to provide a patient focused, high quality, efficient and complete administrative support service.
There is a need to work as an effective team member to deliver a high-quality administration support.
The post holder will need to provide a co-ordinated but flexible approach to the organisation of patient's electronic notes, letters, referrals, and documentation.
The post involves working within a multi-disciplinary team including clinicians, managers, and other administrative staff in a professional manner in written, verbal, and electronic formats.
Calling patients to prompt blood test for re-prescribing of antifibrotics
Monitoring and triaging of Nurses generic email inbox
Chasing of vital checks such as blood and liver function monitoring
Coordinate Virtual clinics.
Monitoring of the PIFU (Patient initiated Follow Up) Access plan list
Cross covering when required within the wider ILD admin team.
