Full Job Description
As the IFM Supervisor, you will become an active member of our team working closely with other disciplines and manage domestic cleaning staff., What really matters to us is providing everyone of our patients with an excellent experience, a service that really cares and one that delivers the right outcome, and we achieve this every day.
If you are highly motivated and want to make a difference to our patients' experience and demonstrate values and personal qualities that support the DCHS way of working we would like to hear from you.
You will be responsible for the daily supervision and coordination of domestic and porter services, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient service delivery across the site. Duties include managing staff rotas, absences, salary returns, training, inductions, appraisals, and acting as the first point of contact for operational queries while maintaining clear communication with staff.
The role also involves overseeing operational tasks such as waste and linen disposal in line with legislation, organising furniture moves, completing risk assessments, monitoring contracts, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring the timely transportation of goods, supplies, and medical records. In addition, the post holder manages stock control, including medical gases, and arranges servicing and maintenance for vehicles and equipment.
The IFM Supervisor is responsible for maintaining accurate records, updating computerised systems, completing audits, and addressing any identified shortfalls to support compliance and service standards. Flexibility is required to provide cover for other supervisors and work across varying shifts to maintain continuity of both domestic and porter services across the wider DCHS area.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member, who is keen to learn and to develop themselves. Previous experience and knowledge of working within a domestic environment is desirable.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join the DCHS Hotel Services/IFM Team in the role of IFM Supervisor.
You will be supervising Staff at Whitworth Hospital and Newholme Health Centre, Matlock, with your base primarily being at Whitworth Hospital although you may be required to work across other areas/sites to ensure continuity of service., Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
