Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the IFM team at St Oswalds Hospital in Ashbourne as a Facilities Assistant and play an essential part in supporting daily operations within our hospital environment.

This post will be working Monday to Sunday on a two week rolling rota basis.

Week 1

Tuesday 6am-10am, Saturday 6am-10am, Sunday 6am-10am

Week 2

Monday 6am-10am, Wednesday 6am-10am, Thursday 6am-10am,

Friday 6am-10am.

The post holder will have a primary role but will berequiredto work across different areas of the Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) service. All necessary training will be provided., Domestic Assistant

Working either individually or as part of a team in ensuring a clean and safe environment ismaintainedfor patients, staff and visitors following agreed work schedules,methodsand proceduresin accordance withthe National Standards of Cleanliness. The post holder willbe requiredto have a flexible approach and be prepared to work on other sites should service demands dictate.

Catering Assistant

Tomaintaina high standard of cleanliness within the Catering Department and to serve meals and functions to patients,staffand visitors to the Trust, ensuring that Food Hygiene Regulations and Health & Safety at Work policies and procedures arecomplied with. To provide a catering service in line with patient nutrition and hydration.

Porter

The post holder will undertake a wide range of duties to include moving and distribution of supplies, linen, mail, waste, specimens and furniture as required. Plus, there may be a requirement for some minimal patient movement between departments. Will be responsible for liaising with delivery drivers and directing delivery vehicles onto Trust sites. Will undertake cleaning of clinical and non-clinical areas in accordance with the National Standards of Cleanliness and undertaking some minor maintenance tasks.

Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
