Mitie is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Hygiene Operatives to join our team at the iconic McVitie's factory in Manchester.

This is a key role supporting food production by ensuring manufacturing equipment, production lines and processing areas are cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene, safety and food quality. Working as part of a dedicated hygiene team, you will help maintain a safe, compliant and production-ready environment within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

-Carry out cleaning of production lines, machinery and manufacturing areas.

-Complete deep cleaning and scheduled hygiene tasks in line with site standards.

-Safely use cleaning chemicals, equipment and PPE.

-Follow food safety, hygiene and contamination control procedures.

-Report damaged equipment, hygiene concerns and safety hazards.

-Complete hygiene records and support audit readiness activities.

Previous experience in hygiene, industrial cleaning, manufacturing or food production is desirable but not essential.
