Full Job Description
We are seeking a friendly, organised and customer-focused Hyb Assistant to join our Education Operations team.
As a key first point of contact, you will provide information, advice and administrative support to students, staff and visitors, helping to ensure an excellent student experience. You will manage a range of enquiries, maintain records and systems, coordinate appointments and bookings, and support the delivery of student services and events.
You will have excellent communication and customer service skills, strong organisational and administrative abilities, and good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. We are looking for someone who can work effectively in a busy environment, collaborate positively with colleagues, and take a proactive and professional approach to supporting students and delivering high-quality services. Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role would be advantageous.
Cardiff University is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity and to creating an inclusive working environment. We believe this can be achieved through attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse range of staff from many different backgrounds. We therefore welcome applicants from all sections of the community regardless of sex, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, trans identity, relationship status, religion or belief, caring responsibilities, or age. We especially welcome and encourage applications from those under-represented groups within the University workforce, such as those who identify as LGBT+, Ethnic Minority or those with disabilities. In supporting our employees to achieve a balance between their work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
Applications may be submitted in Welsh, and an application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
