Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting an experienced HVAC engineer to join our Reading site, the role will encompass carrying out PPMs and maintenance to our Chillers, AHUs and Fan coil units. Integrating well with the site team is a must as assisting the Electrical supervisor and Facilities support operative will also be part of the role. Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of Mechanical and HVAC, PPM and reactive tasks, ensuring tasks are completed in line with the agreed SLA and KPIs
  • Work as a team with the other site engineers. Be proactive in identifying reactive tasks on site and completing them in line with Mitie process
  • Using PDA to complete and report on tasks assigned
  • Escorting of sub-contractors, ensuring works are carried out in line with scope requirements
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction is maximised
  • Provide additional HVAC support to Crawley location when needed
  • Use a Building Management System to interrogate building systems and faults
  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment. Report any issues or training needs to your Line Manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
  • Ensure compliance with Mitie's information security procedures in all activities

    Experience in facilities management industry
  • Experience in dealing with various building HVAC systems and mechanical works
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Water management (L8) experience
  • Recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Health and Safety awareness and knowledge (IOSH Working Safely)
  • Full and clean driving licence
  • Able to work at heights
  • Able to process administration tasks associated with the role
