This role sits within a small, supportive team that provides administrative and operational support for redeployment and promotion application processes. The postholder will contribute to the efficient delivery of these processes by ensuring accurate administration, timely communication and a professional, customer-focused service for staff and managers.
You will act as a first point of contact for routine queries, working within established policies, procedures and service standards. The role requires a high level of organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload to deadlines, while always maintaining confidentiality.
Previous HR experience is not essential. The role is well suited to someone with strong administrative skills who is confident using systems, enjoys working as part of a team and is comfortable following defined processes while taking ownership of their day-to-day tasks.
The role operates within established policies, procedures and service standards, with clear guidance and support available. It offers an opportunity to develop experience in HR-related processes while contributing to a professional and supportive team environment.

o Provide administrative and operational support to redeployment and promotion application processes, and contribute to the wider Recruitment and Resourcing team by supporting agreed administrative duties, ensuring activities are completed accurately and in line with agreed procedures and timescales.
o Act as a first point of contact for routine redeployment and promotion-related queries, providing clear procedural guidance to staff, managers and external candidates, escalating non-routine matters as appropriate.
o Maintain accurate records and documentation, including updating redeployment registers and relevant tracking systems, ensuring data is complete, up to date and handled confidentially.
o Support the administration of promotion application processes, including managing documentation, coordinating panel arrangements and circulating information to relevant stakeholders.
o Use the organisation's applicant tracking and HR systems to record activity, produce routine reports, and support monitoring against agreed quality standards and key performance indicators.
o Liaise with colleagues across the HR service to ensure information is shared appropriately and processes are delivered consistently.
o Contribute to the smooth running of the team by supporting colleagues during peak periods and assisting with the implementation of agreed process improvements.
o Carry out any other reasonable duties, consistent with the grade of the post, to support the effective delivery of the service.
