Mill Green School is an exceptional Community Special School in St Helens, catering for the individual needs of young people aged 14 to 19 who present with a diverse range of needs including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple complex physical/medical needs and autism. Many of our young people also have social communication difficulties, sensory or physical impairments which means that they benefit from the high quality specialist support the school is able to offer. Mill Green Community Special School are seeking to appoint appoint an experienced, motivated and resilient HLTA (Learning Manager) to join our hard working, dynamic and enthusiastic team. We are looking for someone who shares in our determination to transform the life chances young people who attend our school whilst developing their own skills and knowledge to become an outstanding specialist practitioner. The successful candidate will be an outstanding, reflective and resourceful practitioner who is dedicated to making their practice the very best it can be. They will be committed to developing exceptional SEN education, taking a solution-focused and positive approach, with a passion about their work and the impact they have on improving outcomes for all learners, regardless of their educational needs or ability. The role will involve: Working independently to plan, deliver and assess sessions and lessons, under the supervision of teaching staff and providing teaching cover where required. Supporting learners academically and socially, in and out the classroom ️ Supporting young people with communication difficulties, severe learning difficulties and complex health needs Supporting young people with community and work-based learning Supporting our learners to 'Prepare for Adulthood', including meal preparation, money skills, self-care, housekeeping, laundry, food shopping and personal safety.
