Full Job Description
VINCI Facilities is looking to recruit an experienced HSE Advisor to support our operations across Wales, the North West of England, Scotland and the South West. This is a regional, field-based role where you'll work closely with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture, ensure compliance, and provide practical Health, Safety and Environmental support across a diverse portfolio of Facilities Management contracts. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HSE professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing behaviours and making a real impact within a fast-paced operational environment., As HSE Advisor, you will provide professional Health, Safety and Environmental support to operational teams across a range of sectors including healthcare, education, retail, transport and local authority contracts. Working closely with managers and site teams, you will help ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements and VINCI Facilities' policies and procedures. You'll be responsible for supporting day-to-day HSE activities, undertaking site visits, audits and inspections, and providing practical advice to drive continual improvement across the region. This is a highly visible role requiring regular travel across the operational portfolio and strong engagement with both internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Provide practical Health, Safety and Environmental advice across multiple operational contracts. Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
- Support managers with risk assessments, safe systems of work and method statements.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying corrective actions and lessons learned.
- Monitor compliance with statutory requirements, industry best practice and company standards.
- Support operational teams in delivering a positive and proactive safety culture.
- Deliver HSE guidance, coaching and awareness sessions to employees and managers.
- Produce reports, audit findings and compliance documentation.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HSE initiatives and improvement plans.
- Build effective working relationships with clients, operational teams and key stakeholders.
- Travel extensively across Wales, the North West, Scotland and the South West as required.
Minimum 5 years' experience providing practical Health & Safety support within a Facilities Management environment. - Level 6 qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting operational FM contracts across multiple sites.
- Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Knowledge of refurbishment, maintenance and minor works activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and support operational teams at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Ability to obtain a DBS check. Desirable
- CertIOSH or TechIOSH membership.
- Experience across healthcare, education, retail, transport or local authority environments.
- Experience working within a large multi-site Facilities Management organisation.
