Full Job Description
To work in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
-To reprocess reusable medical devices in a controlled environment.
-To receive and prepare contaminated equipment for washing through an automated process.
-To reassemble and pack equipment to customer requirements.
-To load equipment into sterilisers and unload.
-To dispatch equipment to theatres, wards and departments
-To safely operate decontamination equipment and undertake routine testing as required.
-To undertake general housekeeping of workstations and dispose of clinical/household waste.
-To report and defects of equipment to Supervisors
-To assist in departmental audits.
-To assist in investigating any non-conformances.
-To undertake any training appropriate to HSDU and to complete all mandatory training.
Due to an increase in work, we are looking for flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join our team. The hours are Monday to Friday 16:00 to 22:00. The department is responsible for the cleaning, inspection, assembly, packing and sterilising of surgical equipment. No experience necessary as full training is given., Good standard of education
